Production Trips
A family that travels together...stays together?? Well, maybe or maybe not--but what a cool way to connect with other filmmakers--whether we are traveling to an out of town festival or jumping a plan to film something far away--Katharsis Media's production trips are an awesome way to see new places, make lifelong friendships, and possibly make a film or two.
Filmmaker's Co-Op
Katharsis Studios are designed to be a spot for filmmaker's to work, connect, and create. Co-Op membership includes time in all of our studios, unlimited hot-desking, access to editing bays, monthly networking events, and discounts on additional studio reservations, workshops, and classes.
Writer's Room
Join our team of writers at the NM Education Channel. Every week, we gather to brainstorm, write, and assign projects. Most projects are paid with a small stipend, depending on the project. This is also an open workshop time where you may bring a project to work on and network with other writers. Have something you've already written? We are always looking for new projects to produce. Submit a pitch or script below for consideration.
Young Filmmaker's Club
Youth and Young Adults gather every Monday night at Studio 519 to learn from industry professionals, network, and compete in weekly challenges. This club is free of charge and open to all emerging filmmakers ages 16-24. Join us at 6pm every Monday night at Studio 519.
Begins January 29, 2024. NOTE: Feb. 5, 2024 will be at Katharsis East.
The Actor's Club
Part training. Part network television. This is Katharsis' approach to training for actors. Footage for your reel, coaching by award-winning directors, on-set experience, IMDb credit.

If you are an actor who is ready to be on screen but hasn't had consistent work yet, this is for you. You will find yourself cast as a recurring role in one of our many productions, working on a professional film set alongside working actors. Whether for the experience, the screen time, or the networking opportunities, this is a great next step for the trained actor to move from day player to series regular.

Thank you for your interest in cast and crew calls. We use a Google Form to collect submissions for all Katharsis projects. Please do not email submissions--they will not be seen by casting. If you have difficulty with the form, please email: casting@katharsismedia.org. Please do NOT email to ask if we received your submission. We will notify selected cast or crew instructions if they move forward in the submission process. Due to a high number of submissions, we are only able to notify those who move forward in the process. Thank you for understanding.
Submitting EARLIER than the deadline date is always preferred.

Unsolicited Advice Hosts
Open ethnicity. Ages 13-17.
Teen talk-style show dealing with issues like bullying, friendship, romance, LGBTQIA+ issues, etc. Show will be hosted by 3-5 teens and topic experts each week. Films 3 hours per week. Schedule based on actor availability. UNPAID.
