The Limelight Series is back this May, bringing independent film screenings to Katharsis Studios on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month.

​

Join us for curated evenings of long-form indie content (20+ minutes), with two screening blocks each night at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Each block runs approximately 90 minutes and may feature one or multiple projects depending on runtime. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, and are sold per screening.

We kick things off on May 8 with a special screening of OffSet Web Series – Season 8, presented in both time slots to allow more audience access. This screening serves as a fundraiser for Season 9, making it a direct opportunity to support the next phase of the project.

The experience starts before the film. The porch opens at 5:30 pm and stays active throughout the evening, with space to connect, network, and settle in before your screening. Concessions, snacks, and beverages are available for purchase, along with a red carpet photo op. For opening night, we’ll also have Frito pie (meat and vegan options) available for a $6 suggested donation.

Your ticket has a direct impact. 50% of ticket sales go to the filmmakers featured that night, with the remaining proceeds supporting Katharsis Studios and continued programming for local creatives.

For filmmakers, the Limelight Series offers a clear path to screen your work and generate revenue. We are currently accepting long-form projects (20+ minutes) for upcoming screenings in May, June, and July. Programming is built into 90-minute blocks, and ticket revenue is shared among selected projects based on runtime. All submissions are handled through FilmFreeway.
