The Katharsis Media Crew Incentive Program is designed to foster the professional growth of emerging film professionals by placing them on set within specialized craft roles. Each apprentice is already trained and listed on the Overflow list for their specific craft, prepared to advance their skills on-set. This program not only equips apprentices with valuable industry experience but also offers productions financial incentives for integrating these skilled workers, thereby enriching the entire New Mexico film industry.
Financial Assistance Details:
Productions participating in this initiative receive financial assistance to help offset the costs of employing skilled apprentices and interns.
This support covers:
- 30% of wages for interns / apprentices employed
- up to 20 hours / week for interns
- up to 40 hours per week for apprentices
- Hours beyond those specified will be fully the responsibility of the production.
- The production is responsible for employer taxes
NOTE: Unionized sets must prioritize current union members for roles. Apprentices can fill roles only after all union member opportunities have been considered, in accordance with union guidelines.
