Self Care Tips

As performers we put in a lot of time and effort into our craft, but with that we don't necessarily focus on our mental health. Here are some quick tips and tricks to boost your mental health as well as letting your creative juices flow in other areas!


Journaling

  • Journaling is such a freeing experience and allows you to release any built up emotions and or memories that you may have tucked away.

  • It also allows you to keep note of any ideas you may have for singing, dancing, etc.


Art

  • Whether it's coloring a page from your coloring book, or painting a masterpiece, one should allow their mind and creativity to be used in different ways.


Listening to Music while outside

  • Playing your favorite songs or albums while enjoying nature is something I personally do regularly because it allows my mind to relax and new ideas to flow in while old ones are released.

  • Just taking 10-15 or even 2 hours outside to jusy enjoy what "life" is, is very therapeutic.


There are SOOOO many other things you can do, but these are a few things I personally do in order to take time for myself, especially with a busy schedule.
