Hi Friends–
We’re getting closer and closer to Broadway Bound LIVE’s 2-Day finale event and as I’m reflecting on the journey the contestants have been through, and the 8 contestants still vying for the highly coveted AMDA scholarships, I’m contemplating the reality of disappointment.
Disappointment…
When something you were planning on didn’t work out.
When, despite your efforts, you didn’t win.
Or the thing you’re reaching for slips away like sand through your fingers.
Do you know this feeling?
I think we’ve all had moments like this in life. When you do everything in your power to hold on, reach for, or attain something. And it doesn’t work. It is the reality of taking risks…
But how do you pivot when this happens? What do you do in this situation? And how do you redirect your disappointment into something positive? After all, it’s the name of the game right?
Daring to step out of our comfort zone and aim high is what living is all about. There’s risk, but there’s also payoff, growth, and opportunities to learn.
Join me and my wonderful guest, Performing Arts Manager of NHCC Max Maliga, as we candidly discuss how to pivot after a disappointment.
